Computers now a days have brought the entire world in our home. Have you ever wondered who invented the computer and when?
Well, in olden days computers meant a device used to calculate. The first few computers were the abacus and piles of stones. They were primitive and consisted mainly of bones and pebbles.
Later devices such as napier bones invented by Napier were used for multiplying or dividing.
When the tax collector had to collect taxes he found it difficult to calculate. The Pascalline was invented by pascal for his father who was a tax collector. It used to work with the help of various levers. As time passed a new machine was invented which calculated and displayed its results on punched cards But this machine used a lot of silk. Soon machines were invented which could store data using vacuum chambers. These machines worked faster as compared to the previous ones but they were huge and it was very costly to buy and maintain it. These computers then evolved into machines which could calculate faster and were smaller in size as compared to the previous computer. It was cheaper than the earlier one. As time passed by these machines were were decreasing in size and cost and increasing in efficiency and speed. They evolved from EDVAC to ENIAC to UNIAC.
These computers then turned into servers which were like a box. As time passed they turned from servers to laptops.
By the time servers were invented the computers also started having games in them.
Now we have mobiles, ipads, ipods, etc. with many games in them.
